Ewelme Watercress Beds

Lacey Green Windmill

The oldest surviving smock mill in England.
Open: 2pm to 5pm on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays, from the first Sunday in May to the last Sunday in September.

In 2016 the museum is open March-August. Two adult tickets for the price of one. Adults £2.50, FREE entry for children. Open Thursday-Sunday, 2pm to 4.30pm, apart from Saturday which is 10am-4.30pm. There are town walks every Sunday afternoon at 2.30pm, starting from the museum. The walk lasts around an hour and a half, adults £2.50, children FREE. Martyrs walks are the last Saturday of the month, the walk lasts around two and a quarter hours, adults £2.50, children FREE.

Leighton Buzzard Railway

One free adult, senior or child ticket with every full-fare-paying adult. Not available on special events and Christmas trains (see website for details). The Leighton Buzzard Railway is a wonderful example of low-speed rail, ambling between the houses and out onto The Greensand Ridge, with its great views of the Chilterns. The railway was built in 1919 – using surplus from the Great War – for the purpose of transporting sand. Some original WWI items are included in our collection.

Paper Trail, Frogmore Paper Mill & Visitor Centre

Free entry – 2 adult tickets for the price of 1. This heritage attraction is unique as it is the site of the world's first mechanised paper machine. Papermaking, exhibitions, paper shop, cafe. Frogmore Mill is now open for ‘drop-in’ visits and pre-booked groups from 11.00am until 4.30pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays only. Guided Tours of the Mill are at 11:15am, 1:00pm and 2:45pm. Boat Trips are available on Thursdays only at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm. The Cafe, the Paper Shop and The Gallery are open Monday to Friday and on Sundays from 11.00am until 4.30pm. Frogmore Mill is closed on Saturdays, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
