Perhaps the biggest annual event in Lacey Green Windmill's calendar is the National Mills Weekend.

A celebration of the UK's mills and a way to show how important these buildings are to the Nation, National Mills Weekend is held on the second weekend of May every year and is organised by the Mills Section of the SPAB. See more details by clicking News above.

As many wind and water mills as possible in the UK are open on one or both days of National Mills Weekend, and many mills taking part include additional attractions on the day(s).

Lacey Green Windmill is no exception and, depending on the weather, we'll have the sails turning (the mill's ancient machinery isn't operated as it would put it too much at risk) and Loosley Row and Lacey Green Horticultural Society will usually have a stall – other stall holders may also be there. Our very close neighbour, The Whip pub, is an added bonus!
