Cycling
The Cycle Group organises rides every Tuesday and Thursday morning all the year round. Rides are open to Society members and non-members alike.
The Group's Tuesday rides are nearly all off road and of a more demanding nature. These are extremely popular so operate on a first come, first served basis. Please contact us (details below) beforehand.
The Group's Thursday rides are of a laid back nature, taken at a more leisurely pace than the Tuesday rides to cater for a greater range of riders, they are usually about 20-25 miles, with a pub lunch about halfway, taking in some off road sections (trying to miss the muddy bits) and quiet lanes.
Occasionally, an additional ride on the first of the month is publicised in the latest issue of Chiltern News.

Sustrans is the leading sustainable transport charity. It has developed more than 1,100 miles of cycle routes in the UK and organises 'Active Travel' to encourage people to make more journeys by bicycle.
They need used bicycles (in reasonable working order would be good). Ring Jeremy on 07836 208752 or Chris on 01525 22105. |
